Those who were lucky enough to attend the Polo Niagara event today will have been in awe of the sheer power of the polo ponies charging down the Common in Niagara on the Lake in pursuit of a ball. As firece as Ice Hockey except the horses really are the ones in charge. Corporate clients were treated to an upscale lunch including Whole Tenderloin, Grilled Shrimp and fresh asparagus followed by a traditional afternoon tea with homemade scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream. The spectators were treated to a glass of Ice Wine Cuvee supplied by Peller Estate whilst munching on Pig Roast Sandwiches and bbq provided by the local Rotary Club. This is to be a bi-annual event and is staged by the Niagara on the Lake Historical Museum as their main fundraiser.
