Naples Daily News — Wait for PigOut may soon be over

Don’t look now, but there are some pigs flying south looking for a place to land in Southwest Florida.

With seven franchises in Ontario, Canada and another two set to open this spring in Miami and South Carolina, PigOut Catering has zeroed in on the Naples/Marco Island area for its next expansion push.

Founder Anne Dickson said the region makes for a natural fit with her mobile-catering operation that stresses aesthetics and healthy eating while turning the barbecue process on its ear.

Don’t Know How to Run a New Business? No Worries – PigOut Has Your Back

When you join the PigOut Franchise system, you’re never alone – everyone, from the team of seasoned professionals on the executive team to your fellow franchisees — is fully invested in your entrepreneurial success.

You name it, we’re training our franchisees for it! PigOut franchisees are trained in all aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, operations, administration and training staff, growth planning, food preparation and service, food safety, networking, trailer handling, roaster operation, catering event management and even how to reverse your trailer into a tight spot!

The initial training is provided in two segments – the first stage, which takes place at our dedicated training location, allows franchisees to learn the vital skills required to operate the business. During the second stage, franchisees work side by side with company trainers at your first events to ensure a successful start with your entire PigOut operation.

And the training doesn’t stop there – as a PigOut franchisee, you’ll always be learning. We provide refresher training sessions to continually update our entire organization in honing our skills, industry trends and more.

It’s our goal to provide our franchisees with a solid foundation upon which to grow as a business – and we’re there for you from day one.

PigOut Highlights as International Growth Expert

PigOut Catering’s reputation has been growing in the United States ever since the brand announced its desire to launch “south of the border” earlier this year, and an increasing number of markets are opening themselves up to PigOut’s unique approach to event catering and the lucrative mobile catering franchise opportunity. Now, as Pig Out sets its sights on U.S. expansion in targeted markets, PigOut is catching the eyes and ears of the local media as communities across the country begin to familiarize themselves with the brand and its signature pig roasts.

Recently profiled in the Upstate Business Journal in Greenville, South Carolina, PigOut’s owner and co-founder Anne Dickson spoke to the business journal about the brand’s expansion plans in the area and the finer points of the franchising opportunity. The article featured several great photos of the roasters in action, hyping up the Greenville area for PigOut’s growth in the area in the months ahead.

Owner Anne Dickson, who originally hails from Britain, recently completed the paperwork to begin offering franchises in the U.S. and is working now on getting the first one set up in Miami. Dickson said the Greenville market fits into the demographic they are looking for: a “year-round weekend destination market with lots of outdoor event opportunities.”
